About Us
David and Elizabeth Handy are originally from California, where David worked at a large non-profit rescue animal center and Elizabeth was a paralegal. They've made Costa Rica their second home and enjoy the Pura Vida lifestyle the country offers. Their love of the country and seeing many bewildered tourists helped guide them toward writing their first book "Handy Costa Rica Visitor Guide."
"We wished we had a book like that when we first visited Costa Rica," said David. "We spent half of our first vacation just learning about how things work down here."
"I thought there was a vacuum of books like one we wrote," said Elizabeth. "It's something you can read or listen to on the plane down to get a head-start on your Costa Rica vacation. We really want to help people with a primer on what to expect before they visit"
When the two aren't relaxing with their dogs or exploring in Costa Rica, they travel.
